Before booking our hall we ask that you please read the church rules and restrictions (as detailed below).
A fully completed Booking Form must be submitted in advance.
We charge for the hours during which the hirer needs access to the premises – not the hours during which the event takes place.
Cancellations must reach the Bookings Manager at least 2 working days prior to the date or the full charge will be due. For long term bookings, 3 months notice of termination may be given by either side.
The halls are not available on Sundays.
Notices should be stuck on the noticeboards provided and not directly on the walls, to avoid damaging the paintwork.
Rooms, furniture and equipment must be left in the condition in which they were found.
Rooms must be vacated promptly at the end of the booked session.
Restrictions for Use
Our church standing orders stipulate that gambling is not permitted on the premises (this includes raffles and tombola) and we also have a policy of no alcohol in the buildings. Also, we are regrettably unable to hire the halls to yoga or martial arts groups.
This is a no smoking building.
Health & Safety
The Baptist Church accepts no liability for injury or death to anyone using the building, nor for damage or loss of equipment brought in by hirers.
Electrical equipment brought on to the premises must carry a current PAT Testing Certificate.
The church has an expectation of anyone using the halls to have due consideration for the safety and well being of children, young people, and vulnerable adults in their group.
We would also expect you to be considerate to any other users of the building during the time you have the halls booked.
Please ensure that you can adhere to these terms and conditions before making the booking.
